Tuition Fee

Our programme fees cover study materials, tuition, assessments, and results, with no hidden costs. We believe every learner deserves clarity and fairness, so you always know exactly what you’re paying for. Whether you’re planning ahead or ready to begin, our fees reflect our commitment to quality, value, and openness.

Bsc Programmes
    • Annual tuition: $XX (or equivalent in NGN), payable in flexible instalments across each academic year.

    • Tuition covers online teaching, digital resources, access to expert faculty from the Global North and South, and onsite examinations.

    • Does not include travel or accommodation for onsite exams — these are borne by the student.

MSc Programmes
    • Total tuition: $XX (or equivalent), payable in up to two instalments aligned with semester progression.

    • Excludes one week of intensive onsite assessment and final oral defence.

    • Optional workshops and advanced simulations may also incur modest additional fees, which are disclosed upfront.

Adminstration & Registration Fee
    • One-time fee: $50 or its equivalent in any currency, payable at admission confirmation to secure placement.

DCI Scholarship

As part of GSOUTH’s mission to champion equitable access to health education and honour Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu’s unparalleled contributions to global health security, GSOUTH awards the Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu Scholarship for Global Health Security Excellence, comprising:

Two (2) full tuition scholarships
    • Covers 100% of tuition fees for the MSc programme.

    • Awarded to exceptional candidates demonstrating:

      • Proven academic excellence;

      • Leadership potential in public health, biosecurity, or related disciplines;

      • A compelling personal statement outlining their commitment to advancing global health security.

Five (5) 50% tuition scholarships
    • Covers 50% of tuition fees for MSc programmes.

    • Designed to support talented students with demonstrated need, meritorious academic records, and a clear passion for impactful health interventions in Africa.

Eligibility and selection criteria
  • Applicants must have received an offer for a GSOUTH MSc programme.

  • Selection is competitive, considering:

    • Academic transcripts and relevant professional experience;

    • Two letters of reference attesting to academic capability and commitment to global/public health;

    • A statement of purpose (max 500 words) detailing how the applicant plans to leverage their education to strengthen health security in Africa.

  • Application timeline and process

  • Scholarship applications open concurrently with programme admissions.

  • Deadline: 4 weeks before the programme start date each academic year.

  • Applications reviewed by the GSOUTH Scholarship Committee, with awards communicated 2 weeks before programme commencement.

Additional financial support options

GSOUTH partners with donor agencies, foundations, and corporate sponsors to provide merit- and need-based partial scholarships, research project grants for MSc students producing high-impact dissertations, and opportunities for work-study arrangements as teaching or research assistants.

GSOUTH is a not-for-profit institution where tuition fees are intentionally set at minimal levels to ensure sustainability without commercial profiteering, and any programme surpluses are reinvested directly into scholarships, research projects, and infrastructure improvements that enhance student learning outcomes.
